SAM Trimax: The Low Maintenance Cladding Solution

Timber is a popular and versatile material in construction, used both internally and externally to add aesthetic appeal and to protect the building structure from damage. With the construction industry continuing to prioritise sustainability, it’s no wonder timber-based products are the favoured choice for building projects.

Working together with MEDITE SMARTPLY, we have created an external cladding, fascia and soffit range that is sustainable, low-maintenance and highly durable, made to withstand the test of time. The SAM Trimax range is made from MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME (MTX) timber panels, offering a 50-year guarantee with exceptional resistance to the elements, making it ideal for outdoor applications such as garden rooms, beach huts or residential properties.

Quality Products with Lasting Durability

Manufactured using MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME, SAM Trimax is engineered with acetylated wood fibres giving it Class 1 durability. The acetylation process enhances the material’s resistance to decay and ensures stability. Class 1 is the highest natural durability rating for timber, indicating a lifespan of over 25 years. SAM Trimax specifically has a 50-year lifespan, making it eco-friendly and sustainable, retaining its finish and structural integrity for years.

An Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Alternative to Real Wood

Like all SAM MDF mouldings, SAM Trimax uses wood that is sourced from FSC-certified forests, ensuring sustainable management practices. In construction, ‘operational’ carbon in everyday use of buildings accounts for 27% of global annual carbon emissions, while ‘embodied’ carbon from the construction of buildings, including maintenance and demolition processes, accounts for 10% of annual emissions. By using fast-growing trees to lock up carbon during the cladding’s long lifespan, SAM Trimax supports climate goals while promoting renewable forestry practices. Responsibly sourced and renewable, SAM Trimax supports healthier forests and a more sustainable future.

High Performance Cladding

SAM Trimax delivers exceptional durability thanks to the acetylated wood fibres used to make the base panel. Available primed or fully finished, this versatile solution is a great choice for projects with specific needs. The base panel has a 50-year guarantee, ensuring high performance and low-maintenance throughout the building’s lifespan. Compared to alternative materials such as fibre cement, wood or PVC, SAM Trimax sets a new standard for reliability, versatility and resilience in cladding solutions.

Decorative Cladding with Aesthetic Appeal

In addition to the range of practical benefits, SAM Trimax also offers aesthetic appeal and ease of use. The lightweight, clean-cut boards make handling and installing simple, while the range of different colours and finishes allow for versatile designs with aesthetic appeal. SAM Trimax cladding is available in two different profiles, Tongue and V-Groove and Double Shiplap, allowing you to select cladding in the size and profile that best suits your taste. Installation is simple, with both profile designs allowing for a seamless finish.

SAM Trimax is the ideal choice for those interested in updating the look of their buildings, whether that is a home, garden room or shed, while ensuring long-term durability and sustainability with a professional finish.

An Innovative Cladding Solution for Modern Construction

At SAM, we believe in creating solutions to support the future. That’s why we believe SAM Trimax represents a significant advancement in cladding solutions compared to traditional materials. Designed to meet the demands of modern construction, it supports the shift within the industry towards more sustainable materials. Its 50-year guarantee and sustainable features mean SAM Trimax is setting the benchmark for timber cladding.
